The LiftED Leadership Institute is aimed at accelerating the leadership pathways of professionals of color working to improve PK-12 public education.

Nationally, 40% of public school students are Black and Latinx while only about 10 percent of leaders influencing Pk-12 education reflect the students they serve. This disparity is not the result of a skills gap alone; rather structural barriers have prevented many qualified candidates from gaining access to top roles.

LiftED Leadership Institute is dedicated to ensuring education leaders of color reflect the students who are served. The purpose is to ensure diverse voices and perspectives are embraced in the decision-making circles of education policy and practice.  We work with education leaders of color to accelerate their pathways to and effectiveness in roles where their knowledge, backgrounds, and commitment to equity can transform education for children and youth across the country.
